Your child's sleep study guide:
Making test night feel just like any other

How to prepare for a sleep study at home?

Here are the simple steps to ensure a comfortable and stress-free home sleep test experience for children of all ages.

Follow your child’s normal daily and bedtime routine. In addition, please follow these guidelines on the day of the test. The list includes tips for children of all ages, so feel free to apply the ones that best suit your child.

1. Maintain a clam and familiar bedtime routine

2. Create a comfortable sleep environment

3. Limit stimulation before bedtime

4. Introduce the test in a positive and reassuring way

5. Ensure proper device placement

  • Place the bracelet snugly but comfortably on the upper arm — not too tight, not too loose — so it stays in place without discomfort.
  • If you have any questions about the setup, we’re happy to assist, including by video call if needed.

6. Stick to your child’s regular bedtime

  • Please aim to start the test at their usual bedtime so the results reflect a typical night.

7. Don’t worry about minor disruptions

  • It’s perfectly normal if your child takes a bit longer to fall asleep than usual — the test will still work even if bedtime is slightly off.
